Hereford Pegasus made the short trip up the A49 on Saturday to face Ludlow FC and came away with a 5-0 victory.
Played on 3G, it was excellent preparation ahead of our new pitch being ready in the next few weeks. A number of players received their first run outs with several changes from the midweek pummelling of Knighton Town. Billy Taylor started in goal with Jason Davies away.
The game started slowly with one or two players starting in positions they were not normally accustomed to. The scoring was opened by Kieron Slatter in the 25th minute with Mark Langford doubling the score just before half time.
The second half saw possession dominated by the away side with replacement keeper Jim Loader’s goal barely threatened. George Andrews added to his preseason goal tally on 66 minutes with Mark Langford bagging his second five minutes later. Ollie Smith wrapped up the win grabbing his goal in the 83rd minute.
The games are coming up thick and fast now as the Redmen travel to the Forest of Dean on Tuesday evening to face Gloucester County League Ruardean Hill Rangers, kick off 6:45pm.
